v.(say-crid-ize): To make sacred; to esteem as of transcendent value; to identify as spiritual, filled with the divine or connected with the life of God.

The Sacredise Web Site is part of the Sacredise Liturgical Consultancy - a ministry that helps Christian leaders and people to live and worship fully, creatively and mindfully, and to create spiritual experiences that help others to do the same.

Sacredise is built around a philosphy of integrative Christian spirituality within a liturgical framework.

Christian - because I find Christ compelling in his unique humanity, his unique mission of restoration and his unique revealing of God to human beings.
Integrative - because the Christian faith has a rich and diverse history of seeking and following Christ, and I attempt to build bridges in worship and spirituality between these traditions, and to draw on as many of these diverse resources as possible.
A Liturgical Framework - because I believe that for many people spirituality flows from deep and transformative practices of communal and personal worship. The way we live a life of fullness following Christ is guided and informed by how we worship, and how this worship expresses itself in our daily lives.

So, take your time, look around, make yourself at home and enjoy exploring integrative Christian spirituality and worship. John is a Methodist minister and worship leader with over twenty five years experience in a wide variety of church and musical settings, and was the Worship Director for the 2001, 2003 and 2005 National Conferences of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa.

John is regularly called on to lead worship events and seminars drawing all language, race, gender and cultural groups together both musically and spiritually, and has been a sought-after speaker, conference leader and preacher throughout South Africa. Over the last few years John's ministry has expanded into the rest of the world through the Sacredise website, which has subscribers from Africa, the UK, Canada, Australia and the US, among others. He has also recently completed his first international consultation - to Jackson, Mississippi, USA.

He holds a Masters degree in the Theology of Worship Music from UNISA, is a published song-writer, musician, and author.

John has been married to Debbie (also a Methodist minister) for over twenty years, and they have two teenage sons.
